We all have a price. Whoever said that was absolutely right.

Believe it or not, we are all a product that can be created and recreated according to a plan of marketing. Thus, our personal ecosystem has Price, Place and Promotion.

Personal marketing is the creation of a brand that a person makes of himself and this generates a reputation. It uses the same principles of commercial and social marketing, and allows us to trace the route to achieve the success of our goals. When it is well conceptualized and implemented it can be a very powerful tool to achieve success in your goals.

How many times have you heard stories of people who reinvent themselves from a situation and capitalize on their experiences to become opinion leaders? All of them have launched a personal marketing plan that they have started by knowing themselves as a product.

Make your own marketing plan, just follow these steps:

  • Choose a goal: Define your ultimate goal of where you want to get to.
  • Analyze yourself and your environment: Do your own SWOT analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) to know where you are with respect to your objective to achieve.
  • Study yourself as the target market that you are: Which are yours “drivers” or promoters?, where do you develop? And what do they make others notice you so that you can grow and develop?
  • Define your position in the market: How do you want to be perceived by your environment and your competitors and what will be your differential in the market?
  • Prepare your strategy: Once you know your positioning as a product, define the price you are going to pay for it, where you are going to do it (place) and how you are going to get others to notice it (promotion).
  •

If you don't convince yourself, you won't convince others. Visualize yourself being who you intend to become and make your own tagline that as "mantra” will schedule and reinforce the message every minute so you don't miss your target.

Like any marketing strategy, you may need to make adjustments along the way, without this meaning that you should redefine your goals.

Now that we are in a time of World Cup epidemic and in the intensive construction of new national idols, I leave you this video that will surely be of great inspiration for you to start your own personal marketing strategy:
